It all started at the age of four when I took my first picture.  On a family vacation to Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park a life long passion began.  My father remarked that, "the photo was centered perfectly", what encouragement that was!  At the age of ten the interest began to blossom, where I found myself front and center snapping pictures of friends who had crashed their go-carts....just to capture the moment!

During the 60's, I began to earnestly study and learn photography while working at Snap-Back Photo, a Wichita, KS film processing company.  Gaining more experience at South High School in Wichita and Oklahoma Christian College at Oklahoma City, OK where I studied journalism along with becoming the school photographer.  That experience and education helped me land a position at the West Plains Daily Quill, a newspaper serving the people in the West Plains, MO area.  After 39 years of reporting for the Quill, I retired and have returned to my life's passion.....sharing American scenic and nature photographs with others.

Along with numerous trips to the American Southwest, Midwest, and points beyond, I now can spend time meeting and working with other lovers of photographic art at many local and regional art shows.  See the Upcoming Events tab for my next event.  I look forward to perhaps meeting you in the near future.
